A huge fire at an Aylesbury industrial estate involved around 100 tonnes of metal, it has been confirmed.
Thick clouds of black smoke could be seen billowing in the Fairford Leys direction after a fire broke out in the Griffin Lane area.
Eyewitnesses said the blaze was at ASM Metal Recycling Ltd - and Bucks Fire and Rescue say around 100 tonnes of metal was involved in the fire.
The piles of mixed metals had been destined for recycling when the fire happened.
Two fire crews from Aylesbury, one from Amersham and two officers were called at 1.23pm on Saturday, May 28.
On-site machinery was also used to help spread out the pile of metals so firefighters could turn over and damp down.
Crews remained on the scene overnight to monitor the situation.
