Aylesbury’s MP has reacted to the news that the town has been named one of the worst places to live in the country.
The town was named the 18th worst place to live in England out of a list of 50, in a new poll which was conducted by the satirical website 'I Live Here,' after a 'record-breaking' 125,681 people voted.
Many contributors on the site criticised the area with one user calling it an ‘'eyesore, concrete jungle'.

However, Rob Butler MP dismissed the news.
He said: “Like most MPs, I always express a healthy scepticism for opinion polls, and a quick look at the website shows you this one is far from being a scientific survey.
"It’s an absolute honour for me to represent Aylesbury: the people of the town know the truth, which is that Aylesbury is a great place to live, work, visit and invest – their views are the ones that matter to me.”
Also on the list were Didcot in Oxfordshire, Slough and Reading respectively from neighbouring Berkshire, and Luton in Bedfordshire.
