The body believed to be of missing 81-year-old Joseph Arthur has been found in the river at Bourne End.
Police were called out to reports of a man's body being discovered at the marina at 10.30am today.
It comes after lengthy searches for the pensioner, who has been missing since April 16, when he was last seen in the Spade Oak pub, in Coldmoorholme Lane, Bourne End, at around 4.30pm to 5pm.
Search teams have been scouring the River Thames (pictured in Bourne End) in a bid to find Mr Arthur.
A manager at Bourne End marina, Peter Osborne, told the Bucks Free Press earlier today that a body, "as yet unidentified", had been found in the river at the marina this morning and the area had been cordoned off by police.
Police said the man is believed to be Mr Arthur, whose family has been informed.
A spokesman said: "Our thoughts are with them at this very difficult time."
Firefighters from High Wycombe, Beaconsfield and Maidenhead, along with the water rescue team from Beaconsfield and an officer, were called out to the marina just before 11am to assist Thames Valley Police.
