A van burst into flames in a residential street in Widmer End this afternoon.
Residents reported seeing thick black smoke coming from the vehicle which was "completely destroyed" in the fire.
Bucks Fire and Rescue confirmed it was called to Candytuft Green at 3.58pm to reports of a van fire and arrived at the scene within “minutes”, according to onlookers, to extinguish the blaze.
One resident said: “I heard it happen. I was in my front room and my sister looked out of the window and could see massive plumes of black smoke so I got in my car and followed it to this van fire.”
One fire crew from High Wycombe attended the scene and used a hose reel and breathing apparatus to put the fire out.
