A seven-mile "chip oil" spill across town caused "chaos" this morning, according to eyewitnesses.
Drivers were advised to avoid Marlow Bottom Road, Marlow High Street and the surrounding roads in Marlow while gritters cleared up the spill.
Police confirmed a man was reported to have a "dangerous or insecure" load of oil, which is being investigated.
The BFP has learned the spill went along Marlow Bridge, Marlow High Street, Spittal Street, down Little Marlow Road and up to the Handy Cross roundabout in High Wycombe.
The roads have re-opened.
UPDATE: more than just #Marlow Bottom Rd affected, High St and surrounding roads too. Best to avoid area if possible https://t.co/26RzdXd5s8
