A car caught fire causing long delays for commuters this morning on the M25 near the M40 interchange.
The incident, which blocked one lane for almost an hour, occurred at around 8.10am on the anti-clockwise stretch of the motorway between junctions 16 (M40 interchange) and 15 (M4 interchange).
Reports suggestion the burnt out car is still on the hard shoulder, awaiting recovery.
Queues are currently stretching back to junctions 18 (A404 Chorleywood).
Bucks Fire and Rescue confirmed that three crews attended the scene and used a hose reel and a set of breathing apparatus.
