A supermarket in Chalfont St Giles has reopened following a late-night ram-raid on Wednesday as new photos emerge of the aftermath of the incident.
A 4x4 vehicle reversed into the Co-op store in High Street at around 11.30pm before four to six masked intruders entered the shop and removed case cassettes from within the cash machine.
Police confirmed the incident is being linked to a different burglary at Co-op in Iver just two days before (April 18).
A vehicle, believed to have been involved, was recovered from nearby Chesham Road and will now be forensically examined.
Officers believe the raiders made their getaway in another vehicle – possibly a black Audi.
A Spokesperson for The Co-op, said: “I can confirm that an attempted robbery took place at our High Street, Chalfont St Giles store at 11:30pm on Wednesday, April 20 while the store was closed.
“The store has now re-opened. Police are investigating, and we appeal for anyone with information to come forward.”
Call police on 101 with information.
