A man from High Wycombe has been charged under the Terrorism Act last week.
The 24-year-old named as Mohammed Saboor, lives in Burnham Close in Castlefield, High Wycombe, and was arrested by officers from South East Counter Terrorism Unit on Wednesday.
He has been charged with one offence under Section 17 of the Terrorism Act 2000 to provide property, knowing or having reasonable cause to suspect that they would or may be used for purposes of terrorism.
Police have said his charge relates to activities overseas and there is no immediate threat to public safety in the town.
Saboor appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today and was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on January 9.
Local Police Area Commander for Wycombe, Supt Ed McLean, said: "I would like to again reiterate that this arrest was in connection to activities overseas and was not made in response to any immediate threat to public safety in High Wycombe.
