A NEW indoor climbing centre could open in Amersham after a planning application was made.
Proposals to convert a disused storage warehouse off Plantation Road into a rock climbing centre have been made to Chiltern District Council.
If given approval, the centre would create two new full time and four part time jobs.
It's proposed the climbing wall would be open from 10am-10pm on weekdays and from 10am-8pm at weekends and on Bank Holidays.
The plans have been submitted by Urban Ascent, which operates another climbing centre used for bouldering - freestyle climbing without using safety harnesses - in south west London.
The premises they are looking to move in to, in Brazils Yard, has not been used since June 2011, according to documents submitted as part of the application.
Chiltern District Council are likely to rule on whether to grant planning permission in November.
