EIGHT fire engines and crews attended a fire involving 300 tonnes of baled hay last night.
About 40 firefighters and officers fought the fire involving a concrete barn containing 300 tonnes of baled hay, off Chesham Lane, Chalfont St Peter.
They were called last night at 6.34pm.
One appliance and crew from Gerrards Cross, two from Amersham, one from Beaconsfield, one from Great Missenden, one from Princes Risborough, one from Marlow and one from Rickmansworth attended, along with the Command and Control Unit from Aylesbury and three officers.
Firefighters used two jets and a water tanker. The fire was under control at 8.33pm. The incident was scaled down to two appliances at about 10.30pm.
