TWO men have died following a car collision in Great Missenden this morning.
Just before 6am, a black Vauxhall Astra collided with a grey Peugeot 308 travelling in the opposite direction on the A413 Aylesbury Road between Bowood Lane and Leather Lane.
All three emergency services attended the scene, with paramedics treating the two male drivers and a female passenger from the Vauxhall. Both men were declared dead at the scene.
The woman, believed to be in her 20s, was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital suffering from serious injuries.
The driver of the Vauxhall is believed to be aged in his 20s and from High Wycombe.
The driver of Peugeot is believed to be in his 60s from Aylesbury. Next of kin of both men have been informed.
The road was closed until 10.30am, causing huge delays.
Police are now appealing to witnesses to the crash.
Anyone who was in the area at the time or who may have seen either the Vauxhall with two occupants or the Peugeot with only the driver just before the collision at 5.55am is asked to call 101 and speak to PC Sarah Phillips.
The collision was the second on the same road this morning, with another car being involved in a collision at 5am.
A man was injured in that incident but did not require assistance from his vehicle by firefighters.
