INSURERS have paid out for a road sign after it was stolen from the side of the road.
A Vehicle Activation Sign, owned by Hughenden Parish Council, was stolen from Great Kingshill in August.
The sign flashed '30mph slow down' if motorists exceeded the speed limit and cost £3,000 to buy.
At the monthly council meeting on Tuesday night councillors heard that their insurance company had accepted the council's claim and given the full amount of the loss, minus the £250 excess.
