A DOUBLE whammy of Christmas celebrations will be held in Marlow this year - with two major events instead of just one.
The Late Night Shopping event, run by Marlow Chamber of Trade, will still go ahead, with an earlier occasion to be put on by Marlow Town Council.
The chamber's event, on December 5, has been rebranded as the Traditional Late Night Shopping so that fans of the festive trade night know not to confuse it with the new one.
It will no longer feature the Christmas tree light switch on, but will still have choirs and the real life nativity procession, with animals, and the High Street will be closed.
Marlow’s new ‘Switch on and Shop’ will take place on November 21, with an as yet unnamed celebrity lined up to do the duties.
Special promotions and entertainment will be on offer. There will be no road closures on that night.
