SUPERMARKET chain Waitrose is “extremely keen” to open a store in High Wycombe.
The food retailer told the Bucks Free Press it was “exploring opportunities” to achieve its goal of launching a supermarket in the town.
It is understood the chain is potentially looking at building a store at the old Gas Works site in Lily’s Walk or becoming part of the proposed Handy Cross redevelopment.
Waitrose has stores in Beaconsfield, Marlow, Gerrards Cross, Amersham, Chesham and Maidenhead.
