A MAN has been found dead at a property in Chesham this afternoon.

Police responded to a ‘fear for welfare’ call at an address in Creswell Road at 12.23pm where the man in his forties was found dead at the scene.

This came after fire and rescue teams attended the property amid reports of a gas leak, with the area being cordoned off.

Though the death is unexplained, police are not treating it as suspicious and say there was never any danger to the public.

The cordon around the area has now been removed.
