Peter Jones Liberal Democrat Peter Jones is aged 49, he lives in Chartridge and is married to Katy with two grown-up children and their dog Layla. He is the sales director of a printing firm.

He joined the Liberal Democrats in 1991 and is a member of Chiltern District Council and Chartridge Parish Council.

He likes all sport, especially football and cricket. He also enjoys golf, bridge, walking and pub quizzes.

He says the best thing about being an elected politician is being able to help people with planning applications; the worst thing is trying to help people but being out-voted.

If he were an MP he would fight against low pay, for better housing, and to protect the environment.

His Campaign Diary at www.aylesburylibdems.org.uk has attracted readers from Germany, the USA and Canada as well as from the Aylesbury constituency.

His message to Bucks Free Press readers is that he expects the Liberal Democrats to win a majority of the county council seats in his constituency. He says "It's time for a real change and it's time to give the Lib Dems a chance. If you vote for us locally, please vote for us nationally as well. Thank you."
